MEET OUR FOUNDERS

Ira X Armstrong

is an Artist, Freedom Fighter, Social Entrepreneur, Witch Doctor, and Educator.

 

BA in Educational Anthropology from the University of California, Berkeley, Ira has been a teacher of peace, performance arts and freedom for over 30 years; is an infrastructure specialist who helps create harm reduction, healing justice, and outdoor education settings as well as shut down bridges, freeways, and government buildings to stop the machine from running over the people, as needed; and consults with grassroots and political campaigns, ally and accomplice organizations in technology, finance and education in order to create safe spaces for trans, queer, Black, Brown, Indigenous, disabled, fat, neurodivergent, and poor folks. Ira is a founder at PEACE Out Loud, a queer, Black, Brown, neurodivergent, and poor people led Social Permaculture enterprise in the San Francisco Bay Area, and they are dedicated to Self Determination, Outdoor and Freedom Education, and building Consent Culture. Ira is also part of a coalition of folks building to end rape culture in the next 30 years. He dreams a dream where the salmon have returned to Strawberry Creek. 

Cara Kelsey

 

 

Cara Kelsey (they/them) is a trans non-binary queer and kinky sex and relationship coach with a focus on non-monogamy and creative relationship models. They have been doing this work in their own life for 15 years and helping others do so for 10. They have a background working in harm reduction with both sex education and drug use, and honor the philosophy that this work embodies, which is meeting people where they are at.

Johanna Holden

 

Johanna Holden (she/Goddess) is a Jewish warrior woman, healer, pansexual dyke, and trans priestess for the revolution. Born and bred on Chochenyo Ohlone land, she learned to use her powers for good working side by side with Black freedom fighters. Johanna’s principles include reparations; play; respect for youth, elders, and ancestors; abolition; Black power; trans joy and pleasure; and chosen family. When not coaching the next generation of leaders, writing grants, and helping others get free, she is loving, singing, dancing, and cooking with her beloved fiancé Ira, two magical children, and assorted fluffy animals.
